MRMapEdit

Post by Russ Hore »

I have almost finished development of a small program I have called MRMapEdit.

This allows you to load up an MRMap.ini file and change most if not all values via a graphical user interface (GUI)

I am trying to get some time to write the documentation before releasing the program. I think Rob will then release it to his testers so you can tell me what needs fixing/improving etc.

Cheers

MRMapEdit v1.3

Post by Russ Hore »

Here is the latest version, 1.3.

The only change since the last one is you can right click on the panel to set the colour of the tracks.

I have had very little feedback from anyone about bugs and only one feature request.
If you think it would be nice if it could do 'x' tell me what 'x' is and I will try and accommodate.

I have been told by Joe Whiteley (CRO) that he is having problems running MRMapEdit under Vista.

================
Joe said "Using Vista, installed it into the same folder as MR map
Opens fine, can load the ini file (currently the "Mike-136 (default)), but when it comes to "save" after doing a small alteration (Smooth Map Scroling) I get the following "Unhandled exception" message."
================

Is anybody else having problems?

I just tried this on my Vista machine and all worked fine ??.

I copied both MRMap and MRMapEdit to c:\temp (This may be the problem if you have installed MRMapEdit/MRMap into c:\Program Files as I understand Vista is 'funny' (Hilarious) about that)

Are you still having the problem Jon ?
