MRMap Team Callsigns

The following hopefully lists all teams who are currently registered with MRMap and for whom a callsign block has been allocated. If you could check that your listed callsign is correct and let me know of any errors or omissions, it will help keep us all up to date.

Using Patterdale MRT, as I normally do, you will notice that their callsign is 'Patrick' and not Patterdale. This is correct and is what team members are addressed as over the radio. As in 'Patrick Tim' for Patterdale's radio officer for example. If what we have listed for your team isn't what you actually call yourselves over the radio then can I ask you to let me have an updated callsign please.

Any text in parenthesis as in SARDA (Lakes) is a regional identifier and doesn't form part of the radio callsign. In fact I already know this one to be technically wrong as the callsign should be 'Dog'. In practice, most dog handlers have callsigns which are issued from the block allocated to the MRT they are a member of so SARDA handler Les from Kendal team is actually known as 'Kendal Dog Les'. If you want to give this some thought and let me know of any changes.
