Hi all,

I have been busy testing this and have a few comments to add to Rob's fine words in his blog.

I only have access to an iPhone 3GS with 4.2.1 firmware so that limits the testing I can do.

So the more of you that test it on different 'phones the better.

Things that would stop it working are;

1) JavaScript not enabled. On iPhone go to Settings | Safari | JavaScript and make sure it says ON
2) The 'phone has not been set up to allow by code to obtain a location from the device. On iPhone go to Settings | General | Location Services and make sure they are ON for Safari at least.

If these are correct and it still does not work try some other mapping software that can obtain your location and see if it works. On the iPhone I have Google Maps. If this does not work then my code can never work (obviously).

If this does work then you need to help me by telling me exactly what error you are getting.
It would be useful to know;
1) Phone make (e.g. Nokia, Samsung, etc)
2) Model
3) EXACTLY what is happening (Rather than "It does not work")

Please help with the testing.

Hi all,

A quick update.

Dave and I have been working to feed the mobile 'phone data into MRMap and it seems to be working OK. We are currently using the backup database server but will shortly switch to the live server.

The URL has changed as I have moved things around (to make my life easier)

The URL you should send the the 'lost' person can be provided by your secretary;

Can I suggest you use the highest of your Radio IDs and maybe reserve two for casualties. So for Ogwen we would change MRMap.ini to say

19070=Cas One
19071=Cas Two
