Whilst this popularity is good news it also means more people are 'testing' the system, "just to check it is working"
I get the impression SARLOC is now becoming an operational tool and as such should not really be used for 'seeing if it is working' as all fixes get added to the MRMap database.
I will monitor the situation and, in the future, may have to activate a method of restricting the number of 'test' hits using random radio IDs
One suggestion is to only allow specific radio IDs to be used with SARLOC. So when SARLOC is activated I will check to see if the radioid passed in is registered as a SARLOC radioid and only process it if it is.
Of course this relies on YOU keeping that information up to date.
