SRM9030 On_Off Switch Doesn't Work

A significant number of teams have now begun reporting that under some circumstances, the normal control-head on_off switch on a Simoco SRM9030 radio can stop working and the radio remains on at all times. This appears to happen mostly, but not always, when a Dmap or MA-ASIG accessory board has been fitted to the radio and it's then used with a programming lead and a computer running MRMap, for GPS tracking. I've tried to discover why this might be happening and although I've come up with two potential reasons, there may well be others so if your setup exhibits this problem but none of the suggested remedies apply then please let me know with as much information as possible and I'll try and get it resolved for you. Before you do this, please ensure that the particular radio hasn't actually been programmed for permanent power in the configuration file.
